Kenaan: We must choose between actual state and a fictive one

Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kenaan said that everyone should understand the reasons why the bloc’s ministers decided to boycott the cabinet’s meeting.

“This is a matter of seeing the difference between right from wrong and empowering state institutions; no one should turn it into an issue between Sunnis and Maronites”, Kenaan said during the yearly meeting organized by the Free Patriotic Movement in Sin El Fil.

Kenaan called for choosing between an actual state, which fights corruption through appropriate social, economic and development policies, and a fictive state where the Ta’if agreement has become a paperweight.
