Bkerke statement: Not the right time to threaten with cabinet resignation

Bkerke released a statement in the wake of a meeting held in Bkerke headed by Patriarch Beshara Rai, in the presence of the president of the Maronite League Joseph Torbey, the president of the worldwide Maronite Foundation former minister Michel Edde, the president of the Maronite General Council former minister Sheikh Wadih el-Khazen.

This statement said that Lebanon and the region are going through an unprecedented crucial situation that requires from political leaders to adopt a responsible approach that takes into account the critical situation and the dangers.

“It is not the right time to threaten with cabinet resignation”, the statement said, adding that Lebanon must commit to international legitimacy and resolutions, including the STL.
