Atik stresses the importance of supporting Lebanese Armed Forces

Head of the Lebanese Forces Corrective Movement Hanna Atik reiterated on Saturday his rejection to any intervention in the Syrian crisis, adding that this intervention is a threat on the Lebanese nation and Christians.

On the 31st anniversary of former President Bachir Gemayel’s martyrdom, Atik told LBCI during Nharkom Said that he wouldn’t have given up on his weapons and wouldn’t have participated in the Taif agreement meetings if he were in the place of Lebanese Forces’ Chief Samir Geagea.

Atik added that political leaderships are not rejecting intervention in the Syrian war, stressing the importance of supporting the Lebanese Armed Forces and security apparatuses so they may carry out their duties.
