Gemayel: We bet on Mikati’s wisdom

The United Nations’ Special Coordinator for Lebanon Robert Watkins condemned the latest rocket attack on Israel from South Lebanon, adding that such actions might lead to serious problems as Israel would eventually retaliate.

Watkins called on both sides to respect 1701 UN Security Council resolution as a means to impose a calm situation on the border between Lebanon and Israel.

The head of the Kataeb Party Amin Gemayel, after his meeting with Watkins, said “the United Nations expect us [Lebanon] to abide by all international resolutions including all commitments to fund the Special Tribunal for Lebanon”.

“We [Lebanese] are all waiting to see what the government has decided in this regard, we bet on Mikati’s wisdom to fund the Tribunal’.
