LAF Commander calls for firmness in dealing with security breaches

The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Commander General Jean Kahwagi praised Wednesday the daily progress achieved on the part of military units in maintaining security and arresting terrorist networks, kidnapping cells as well as perpetrators of organized crimes.

In this context, he tackled the measures undertaken by the LAF in Beirut's Southern Suburbs in cooperation with security forces and concerned authorities, stressing the need to deploy further efforts in a bid to preserve the lives and properties of Lebanese citizens.

During his visit to the 7th Infantry Regiment in Saadiyat, Kahwagi called for addressing security incidents and taking firm stances regarding those who compromise security, urging the military to remain on high alert in anticipation of any threats against the country.
