Houri: Nasrallah speech was edgy, lacked reason

Future MP Ammar Houri confirmed on Friday that Hezbollah Leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s speech was “edgy”, lacked reason and reflected the frustration felt by Hezbollah due to recent events, notably the funding of the STL.

Houri added that Nasrallah addressed an audience to whom he claimed for the past 2 years that the STL is a U.S.-Israeli Tool which should not be funded. “Then he had to fund the court or to comply with that fact, despite his rejection, due to the situation of the Syrian regime and upon Syria’s request to fund the Tribunal in a bid to keep the cabinet intact,”Houri said.

Houri told Nharkom Said TV show that Nasrallah wrapped up his speech addressing PM Najib Mikati with “an absolute sectarian spirit” as he ordered him to include the false witnesses issue and Aoun’s demands to the cabinet agenda.
