Residents open al-Abdeh road after cutting it off

The state-run National News Agency reported that residents of Al Abdeh opened on Monday the road to traffic after cutting it off at 5:00 a.m. in protest of companies replacing Lebanese workers with individuals carrying foreign nationalities.

Foreign workers are employed by Lebanese enterprises at lower salaries than the standard wage.

This phenomenon has increased in light of the rising influx of Syrian refugees into the country.
