Future bloc: Current cabinet does not have the right to take oil-related decisions

The Future bloc stressed Tuesday that the issue of the oil wealth is a strategic issue that must not be neglected, noting that the current caretaker cabinet does have the right to take any decisions related to this “important and strategic matter”.

Following its weekly meeting, the bloc issued a statement whereby it called for forming a cabinet as soon as possible without taking into consideration Hezbollah’s attempts to prevent the President Michel Sleiman and the Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam from performing their constitutional duties.

On another note, the Future bloc condemned the latest kidnapping operations, mainly the abduction of the pharmacist Wissam al-Khatib in Zahle, urging the security apparatuses to take the necessary measures. The bloc also called for the release of the Lebanese hostages held in Syria’s Aazaz.
