Minister Sehnaoui says Lebanon ranks 52 in the ICT Development Index

Caretaker Telecommunication Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui said on Monday that Lebanon currently ranks 52 out of 193 countries in the Information and Communication Technology Index (ICT).

Minister Sehnaoui said in a press conference that the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) emphasized in its report that Lebanon is the country with the highest annual increase in the 2012 ICT Development Index.

Minister Sehnaoui added that according to the report issued by the United Nations, Lebanon was able to effectively make infrastructural improvements into services between 2011 and 2012; vowing to achieve more developments in the Telecom sector.
