Gharib to LBCI: to step up measures if demands not met

Head of the Association of Public Secondary Education Teachers Hanna Gharib said on Wednesday that the association requests the calculation of the inflation rate starting year 1996, rather than 2008.

Gharib told Nharkom Said TV show that the association endorses the issue of full health coverage and the inclusion of the transportation allowance, as suggested by Labor Minister Charbel Nahhas.

Gharib wondered “is it possible that 15 years pass by without carrying out a wage adjustment?”, confirming “we will resort to strike and demonstration next week if our demands are not met.”
