Thieves in Lebanon don’t mind CCTV

The stealing phenomenon is now hopping from region to region to the point that the thieves have become brazen enough to carry out their work in front of security cameras.

In the Safra region, three men ripped the door off of food distributor’s building around 4:45 am and managed to grab $2,000 worth of food in nine minutes.

The business owner described the thieves as “insolent”, pointing out that they not only felt masks were unnecessary but were also looking directly into the security camera.

Another security camera, this time in Ajaltoun, caught two people ripping the door off of a supermarket around 4:00 am where they made away with cash and recharge cards.
