President Sleiman says political choices should prevent Israeli espionage on Lebanon

President Michel Sleiman said on Thursday that children are dreaming of a country where all citizens would be united, noting that their problems are due to social, economic and security factors.

“They want to halt sniping operations in Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh and to penalize those behind Tripoli’s twin blasts and the Roueis explosion,” Sleiman said during a ceremony to launch the action plan to eradicate child labor.

“We want responsible constitutional institutions and leaders who prioritize the country’s interest,” Sleiman added.

He also said political choices should restore the country’s foreign ties and prevent Israeli spying on Lebanon, calling for a comprehensive national development plan.
