USAID Administrator praises Sleiman’s efforts in dealing with Syrian refugee crisis

President Michel Sleiman held a meeting on Friday at the Baabda Palace with Deputy Speaker Farid Makari with talks featuring high on the political and governmental files as well as parliamentary consultations between the Lebanese parties.

President Sleiman also met with the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Rajiv Shah in the presence of US Ambassador to Lebanon David Hale.
The US official said the agency will continue to assist Lebanon in facing the repercussions of the rising influx of Syrian refugees.

He also praised the efforts exerted by President Sleiman in dealing with the crisis, stressing that his country and the agency will support Lebanon.
