Hezbollah report: Over 1,000 CIA officers in Lebanon, including women

According to a Hezbollah report on Al-Manar TV Friday night, the U.S. Intelligence is headquartered in Awkar, within the U.S. embassy.        

The report revealed that the current head of the CIA station in Lebanon is Daniel Patrick Mcfeely who is registered as a diplomat at the embassy. Mcfeely replaced Louis Kahi who quit his job in Lebanon in 2009.       

According to the report, the CIA officers are estimated to be more than 1000, including women, and operate under aliases such as: Nick, Jim, Youssef, Liza and Jonah.          

The report added that the CIA officers recruited agents from various segments of the Lebanese society, such as government employees, security personnel, religious, banking and academic figures.         

Recruitment was carried out inside the embassy building and meetings between them took place in restaurants and coffee shops, the report added.         

The report stressed that the main goal of the CIA officers lied in gathering information on Hezbollah, the resistance’s arms cache, its officials and their residence address, adding that, during July war, the CIA worked on monitoring the resistance’s activity and providing the Israeli intelligence with all field information.
