Speaker Berri from Tehran: To confront strife conspiracies against Lebanon

Speaker Nabih Berri stressed on Tuesday "the need to confront strife conspiracies  which aim to target Lebanon and the entire region."

Berri who is currently on a visit to Iran, discussed with the Secretary General of the Iranian National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, the current situation and the current developments in the region.

Speaker Berri arrived to Tehran in an official visit with a delegation formed by MPs Abdellatif Zein, Hagop Pakradounian, Ghazi Zaiter, Ali Fayyad and Kassem Hachem.

On another note, Berri raised the issue of Imam Moussa Sadr, hoping that the ISlamic Republic of Iran would deploy efforts to reveal his fate.

Imam Sadr and his companions, Sheikh Mohammad Yaacoub and journalist Abbas Badreddine, went missing in 1978 in Libya where they had travelled in an effort to end the Lebanese civil war.
