President Michel Sleiman hoped on Tuesday that the Iranian nuclear deal will prioritize the need to hold dialogue and reach political solutions in order to face violence and divisions.
He also hoped the deal will have a positive impact on the regional situation, stressing the need to uphold national unity and stability amid the critical circumstances.
This as, President Sleiman held a meeting with caretaker Environment Minister Nazem Khoury whereby he tackled the political situation and discussed with Future bloc MP Mohammad al-Hajjar the current developments.
Also on Tuesday, US Ambassador to Lebanon David Hale visited Baabda and briefed Sleiman on the international deal with Iran "which shall have a positive impact on the region should the concerned parties abide by its items".
Talks also featured high on bilateral relations as well as the US assistance granted to Lebanon, and especially to the Lebanese Armed Forces.
