Mikati calls on International Community to support Lebanon

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati called Tuesday on the International Community to support Lebanon so the country may face the increasing influx of Syrian refugees.

Following a meeting with French Foreign Affairs Minister Laurent Fabius in Paris, PM Mikati stated that the number of Syrian refugees has become a burden on Lebanon, and is affecting Lebanon socially, financially, and economically.

In turn, France’s Fabius stressed that France will always support Lebanon so the country may maintain its stability and sovereignty and avoid the repercussions of the Syrian crisis.
