Tenenti: Israel breaches 1701 with UN operation zone flyovers

The U.N. official spokesman Andrew Tenanti said on Monday that the UNIFIL detected Israeli aircraft over UNIFIL's operation zone in the south, violating, as such, UN Security Council Resolution 1701 as well as Lebanese sovereignty.

Israel's activities exacerbate local fears and go against UNIFIL efforts to reduce tension and anchor stability in Lebanon, said the spokesman.
