Kuwait condemns attacks on vital facilities, Iran denies responsibility

A statement from Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Kuwait condemned what it described as drone attacks carried out by Iran and its proxies on Thursday, targeting vital facilities in the country and calling them a violation of its sovereignty and airspace.

Earlier, the Kuwait News Agency reported that a site affiliated with the National Guard was targeted by drones, causing significant material damage but no casualties.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps denied carrying out attacks on Gulf states during the ceasefire period, saying through state media that if Iran were to launch any attack, it would announce it officially.

Kuwait said the attacks undermine ceasefire efforts between the United States and Iran, and affirmed its right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and stability.

Since the start of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, Gulf countries have reported incidents involving missiles and drones, with security risks linked to the conflict increasing. The ceasefire announced earlier this week remains fragile.
