Maj Gen Kahwagi: LAF soldiers will pursue those who breach security measures

Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Major General Jean Kahwagi said on Tuesday that LAF soldiers will pursue all those who violate implemented security measures, adding that any operation carried out by the military institution will be enlisted under the framework of pursuing armed men and wanted persons and bringing them into justice.

In light of cooperation between the military institution and other security apparatuses to follow up on the latest developments in Lebanon, Major General Kahwagi held a meeting with acting State Prosecutor Judge Samir Hammoud, Director of the Lebanese State Security Brigadier General George Karaa, General Security Chief Major General Abbas Ibrahim, and acting Internal Security Forces Head General Ibrahim Basbous.

During the meeting, officials agreed on implementing security measures in Tripoli in order to maintain stability at the northern Lebanese city seemingly since Tripoli was put on Monday under the full supervision of Lebanese Armed Forces for 6 months.
