Kataeb party urges for immediate action to release Maaloula nuns

The Kataeb Party called Monday on the International Community to take immediate action in order to release Syria’s Maaloula abducted nuns, stressing the need to “put an end to these heinous practices committed against the religious symbols.”

The party also called on the foreign countries and leaders to deploy further efforts to release the two Syrian bishops and to guarantee their return to safety.

Following its weekly meeting, the Kataeb party praised the performance of the Lebanese Armed Forces and the security apparatuses in the northern city of Tripoli, where violence has claimed the lives of several innocent citizens.

In this context, the party called on the judiciary to continue the investigations related to the twin blasts that targeted two of Tripoli mosques, in order to pursue the perpetrators and take necessary legal action against them.

On another note, the Kataeb party warned against the repercussions of the upcoming storm threatening Lebanon, urging the security apparatuses and the concerned authorities to take the appropriate measures to prevent damages.
