Army Commandos conducts raid operations in search for gunmen

Lebanese Armed Forces Units are combing al-Basatin area located between Alman and Bkosta as well as the east of Sidon after claims about the presence of an armed group in the area.

The army established checkpoints and deployed across regions overlooking valleys that surround Bkosta, Sharhabil and Abra.

This as, a Cessna aircraft flew over valleys in Sharhabil, Bkosta and al-Salihya.

In this regard, military sources told LBCI that Sidon's operation is "a natural move" amid the current circumstances.

"Lebanese Army Commandos carried out major raids on Thursday in Wadi Sharhabil in Abra, Kfarfalous and Besri in search for armed men," the state-run National News Agency reported.
