President Sleiman calls on judiciary "not to surrender to pressure"

President Michel Sleiman called Thursday on the Lebanese judiciary "not to surrender to pressure", noting that efforts exerted by the judicial authority in terms of accountability "will appear soon."

Sleiman's remarks came during his meeting with the new Bar Association Council headed by George Jreij.

On another note, Sleiman was briefed by the Head of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Jean Fahd over the work of the judicial authority at this stage, and the need to intensify the work of judges and courts to conclude citizens' claims and judicial cases.
