Hezbollah delegation congratulates Patriarch Rai on occasion of Christmas

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rai met on Thursday at the patriarchal residence in Bkerke a delegation from Hezbollah comprised of Ghaleb Abu Zeinab and Moustafa Hajj Ali, members of Hezbollah's Political Council.

The meeting was also attended by the Secretary General of the Christian-Muslim Dialogue Committee, Hareth Shehab, and Bishop Samir Mazloum.

On behalf of the Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Abou Zeinab congratulated Patriarch Rai on the occasion of Christmas, stating that Christmas represents hope in light of the current situation in the country.

In turn, Patriarch Rai expressed his gratitude to the delegation for its visit, expressing his hope that the upcoming year would be fruitful and definitive for decision-making.

Following the meeting, closed talks were held between Patriarch Rai and the delegation.

On another note, Patriarch Rai said "void at the presidential level is an insult to the nation."

Patriarch Rai stressed before delegations visiting him on the occasion of Christmas the importance of holding parliamentary session to elect a new president.
