Security apparatuses search for girl who communicated with abducted Omani nationals

"The Security apparatuses are searching for a girl who allegedly communicated with the two Omani nationals who were abducted in Baalbek late on Thursday," sources told LBCI on Friday, adding that investigations are underway with the driver who transported them from the airport.

The sources said the kidnappers' identity and the reasons behind the abduction are yet to be determined.

The state-run National News Agency reported on Thursday that unknown armed men in a black "Grand Cherokee" intercepted a vehicle coming directly from Beirut International Airport.

The agency added that that armed men kidnapped two Omani citizens who were on board, in the locality of al-Kayal-Baalbeck, and took them to an unknown destination.
