STL receives Lebanon’s share for 2013

The Special Tribunal for Lebanon confirmed on Monday that it has received Lebanon’s share of the 2013 budget from the government.

The Lebanese government transferred this morning the full sum of 29, 386, 609 euros, amounting to 49 per cent of the Tribunal's budget, to the Tribunal's bank account.

In this regard, STL Registrar Daryl Mundis thanked the Lebanese government for “honoring once again Lebanon’s international obligation to fund the Tribunal”.

The start of trial in the Ayyash et al. case is slated for 16 January 2014.
