March 14 General Secretariat suspends periodic meetings over security fears

The March 14 General Secretariat has decided to suspend, at the time being, its political and periodic meetings at its headquarters in Ashrafieh over the "dangerous security situation".

The General Secretariat's comments were made on Monday in light of deadly bombings targeting Lebanon.

"The March 14 Secretariat will always be adamant on defending Lebanon's unity, sovereignty and independence," the Secretariat said in a statement, adding that the periodic meetings will be secretly held in various locations if need be.
