Judge Saqr Saqr launches investigation in Arsal rocket fire case

The State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr launched an investigation in the case of the rocket shelling that targeted the northeastern town of Arsal and killed a number of people, including children.

Judge Saqr also tasked a military expert to determine the source of the rockets, in order to take the necessary measures.

For his part, caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati urged the High Relief Commission to examine the damages caused by the shelling on Arsal and implement the appropriate procedures in this regard.

Six rockets hit on Friday the al-Shakf neighborhood in the border town of Arsal, killing 9 persons including 5 children and wounding 7 others.
