Abou Faour says efforts are being deployed to form cabinet

Caretaker Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abou Faour met on Thursday with caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati with discussions featuring high over the security situation, and the latest political developments in the country.

Following the meeting, Abou Faour said that efforts are being deployed in order to overcome obstacles, which are no longer many, to form new cabinet.

He also urged the Lebanese factions to resort to the dialogue table in a bid to form a cabinet to solve pending issues and reduce security and political risks.

Lebanese rival parties are sharply divided over several issues, such as the formation of the new cabinet, the presidential elections and the civil war taking place in neighboring Syria.
