Sources to LBCI: No political reasons behind murder of PSP official Sami Marroush

Sources told LBCI on Friday that the murder of Former Progressive Socialist Party official Sami Marroush was determined as non political, confirming that the crime was an act of a personal manner.         

The state-run National News Agency reported on Thursday that former Progressive Socialist Party official Sami Marroush was found dead inside his vehicle in the Aley region of Ras-al-Jabal.           

Sources said that the body was found with several gunshot wounds.                           

Accordingly, the head of the Progressive Socialist Party MP Walid Jumblatt conducted a series of contacts with the concerned judicial and security authorities, on the backdrop of the Marroush’s murder, reiterating his confidence in the security apparatuses that immediately started carrying out their duties in examining the crime scene and taking the necessary measures.       

Jumblatt stressed the need to await for the results of the investigations in order to unveil the criminals and take the appropriate legal measures against them.
