Child dies after being denied entry to hospital

The state-run National News Agency reported on Monday that a child (born in 2012) arrived to the Tripoli governmental hospital suffering from a severe respiratory illness but died after his parents failed to find him a vacant room at the said hospital.

The agency added that Internal Security Forces launched an investigation into the incident.

This as the Tripoli governmental hospital issued a statement in which it asserted that media reports in this regard "are inaccurate", noting that the toddler arrived to the hospital where the medical staff tried to offer all necessary treatment without charge but the toddler died soon after.
