Syrian jets violate Lebanese airspace, shell Syrian towns

The Syrian air force violated Sunday the Lebanese airspace and shelled the Syrian towns of Talkalakh and al-Zara.

While sources told LBCI that the Syrian jets also targeted a Jeep with a medium-sized machine gun in the al-Ajram region of the northern town of Arsal, other sources reported that the Syrian shelling targeted a reservoir near a house owned by Flita family.

Lebanon has been witnessing a direct spillover of the Syrian crisis as rockets and mortar shells keep on landing in the northern border towns, leaving casualties and material damages, as well as a wave of terrorist attacks against Hezbollah strongholds, resulting in casualties and heavy material losses.
