Judge Saqr charges 21 suspects, including Naim Abbas for belonging to terrorist networks

State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr raised complaints on Monday against 21 persons, including Naim Abbas, on charges of belonging to armed terrorist networks, and carrying out terrorist acts in Lebanon.

The Lebanese Armed Forces arrested on the 12th of February the Palestinian national identified as Naim Abbas dubbed "the most dangerous terrorist in the country."

Preliminary information revealed that Abbas had been at the receiving end of a network smuggling booby trapped cars from Omar al-Atrash.

After his arrest, Abbas confessed the presence of an explosive-laden vehicle, which was later found and dismantled by Lebanese Armed Forces units. The vehicle was a black RAV 4 SUV loaded with explosives parked in a parking lot in the Corniche al-Mazraa region.
