Change and Reform bloc leader MP Aoun warns from failure to hold presidential elections

Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun warned on Tuesday from void in the presidential position, adding that failure to hold presidential elections will fragment the country.

Aoun’s remarks were made following the bloc’s weekly meeting in which he noted that the ministerial policy statement is “not the solution”, adding that words “mean nothing because actions change the reality in Lebanon.”

Asked about the Resistance, MP Aoun said that the he resistance in Lebanon does not need recognition from anyone.

Aoun also stressed that President Michel Sleiman and Hezbollah enjoy good ties, asking all rival sides to refrain from creating debates.

He concluded by ruling out any possible visit to Saudi Arabia.
