Three wounded in rocket attack on Bekaa's Nabi Sheet

Three rockets launched from the Syrian side hit the Bekaa town of al-Nabi Sheet and its outskirts on Tuesday, leaving three persons wounded and causing damages to property, the Lebanese Army Command said.

This comes as President Michel Sleiman urged all parties to the conflict in Syria to keep their fighting away from the Lebanese border towns and their residents.

"One elderly man was injured when two rockets hit the Bekaa town of al-Nabi Sheet," the town's mayor told LBCI earlier.

"The first rocket landed on a farm in the town and the second hit its outskirts," he added.

Shelling from the Syrian side also damaged other Lebanese border towns which have bore the brunt of the cross-border attacks.

This comes as a result of the fighting taking place in Syria between Syrian government troops and rebels seeking to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad.
