Ambassador Roknabadi files formal protest against Mashnouq’s statements

Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi filed on Friday a formal protest to Prime Minister Tammam Salam against the statements of Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq during the meetings of the Arab Interior Ministers in Marrakech-Morocco, the state-run National News Agency reported.

"PM Salam confirmed that Mashnouq's position on Iran does not express the stance of the Lebanese cabinet," Roknabadi said, adding that Salam stressed he was adamant on the best of ties with Iran.
