Hariri: There can be no return to the "army-people-resistance" equation

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri said on Saturday that several interpretations may be made over the cabinet policy statement; however, the only truth is that there can be no return to the "army-people-resistance" equation.

In the same regard, Hariri pointed out that the statement does not grant any political party the right to resort to arms outside the authority of the Lebanese state, its army, and institutions.

He also emphasized that the statement prevents Lebanon from getting involved in foreign wars.

Marking the third anniversary of the eruption of the Syrian uprising, Hariri said there is no doubt that the issue of the Resistance is a controversial matter that should be discussed during national dialogue sessions, reiterating his call on Hezbollah to withdraw its forces from Syria.
