Prime Minister Tammam Salam said on Monday that he understands the concerns presented by Kataeb party leader Amin Gemayel, praising the national motives leading the Kataeb party to express reservations over the cabinet’s policy statement.
In a statement issued by his media bureau, Salam said that the policy statement of the national unity cabinet stressed the need to remain attached to the state’s sovereignty, authority and its responsibility in protecting the country and the people.
The statement added that Samal is optimistic concerning the Kataeb party’s keenness on assuming their national responsibilities within the cabinet.
