Jund al-Sham confirms death of leader Abu Suleiman al-Dandashi

Jund al-Sham group confirmed Friday the death of its leader Abu Suleiman al-Dandashi.

On Thursday reports emerged stating that Khaled al-Mahmoud, known as Abu Suleiman al-Dandashi, was killed during battles between the Syrian army and rebels in Crac des Chevaliers, a war-damaged Crusader castle.

The reports said that eleven armed rebels were killed on Thursday in an ambush set up by the Syrian regime forces, when they were fleeing Crak des Chevaliers in Reef Homs, Central Syria, toward the Lebanese territories, a military source told Agence France Presse.
