Syrian national charged with belonging to terrorist group

Military Investigative Judge Imad Zein interrogated on Friday a Syrian detainee and issued an arrest warrant against him, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The Syrian national, identified by his initials as R. Y., was charged with belonging to an armed terrorist group as well as plotting terrorist acts and recruiting people to carry out suicide operations.

Judge Zein will proceed with interrogations on April 29.
