ISF seize drugs hidden in sweet boxes

The Internal Security Forces general command issued a communiqué Tuesday in which it said that it seized boxes of sweets containing ready-to-consume drugs.

The communiqué added, the boxes were found after judicial police raided a house in the northern area of Minieh on Monday after obtaining information about a drug smuggling operation.

The ISF identified the owner of the house as M.M., adding that he was attempting to smuggle cocaine and ephedrine in six boxes of sweets.

The ISF added that it seized a certain amount of ephedrine crushed and filled in medication bottles.
