Kataeb leader Gemayel underscores need to elect new president on time

Kataeb party leader Amin Gemayel stressed on Tuesday the need to elect a president who “fully reassures the country's Christian community in specific and the Lebanese in general,” calling on the concerned parties to honor the constitutional timeframe which ends on the 25th of May.

“At the time being, our goal is to rescue the republic before it is too late,” he said following a meeting with Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea in Mehrab.

“We want a president who would lead the country and preserve real partnership,” Gemayel added.
