Geagea: We were not fighting alone during the Lebanese war

The Lebanese Forces Chief Samir Geagea said Saturday that the LF broke the routine by announcing its political program for the presidential elections, noting that his candidacy goes against the policy of “I or vacuum” adopted by some parties.

During a meeting with a delegation from the Lebanese Forces in France, Geagea regretted the attempts to manipulate the constitution in an unethical manner that contradicts with the values of democracy.

The LF leader said that some parties are trying to tarnish the image of the Lebanese Forces by repeatedly recalling the events of the Lebanese war, stressing that he does not deny this period, but dares to openly speak of it.

“During the war, we were not fighting alone and we will be ready to reopen all the cases if they so wish,” he added.
