Forgery network arrested over fake university degrees

The state-run National News Agency reported on Friday that Beirut State Security arrested a suspected forgery ring accused of issuing fake university degrees.

The degrees were produced in a professional manner and mistakenly certified by the Education Ministry and Foreign Ministry, the agency added.

The group includes four Lebanese nationals identified by their initials, A.D., H.A., A.B. and A.A.

The four detainees were referred to the concerned judiciary.
