Unknown assailant stabs owner of vehicle during attempted theft

A Lebanese citizen was severely injured on Friday morning after an unknown assailant stabbed him in an attempt to steal his Toyota FJ Cruiser in the Keserwan neighborhood of Adonis, the state-run National News Agency reported.

R. Rizk was stabbed in the head, shoulder and left leg during a fistfight with the thief, the agency said.

Rizk was rushed to Saint Louis hospital in Jounieh while the thief fled in a car waiting nearby.

Internal Security Forces members and Criminal Evidence teams arrived to the scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
