Rifi: Lasa's disputed land file referred to concerned judiciary
Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi stressed that the issue of the disputed land in the Jbeil town of Lasa has been referred to the concerned judiciary, which issued a decision urging the concerned parties to abstain from carrying out any changes to the land before the judicial authorities issue their final decision in the matter.

Following his meeting with Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai, Rifi noted that the presidential vacuum and the failure to hold the presidential elections before the constitutional deadlines are crimes against the nation and coexistence, reiterating Rai’s call for making the electoral sessions public, in order for the Lebanese people to witness the officials’ failure to ensure quorum.

Commenting on Rai’s visit to the Holy Land, Rifi said that no cleric has been prevented from visiting the Holy Land throughout history, pointing out that several bishops, muftis and clergy men visit Jerusalem regularly and keep contact the Palestinian people.
