Lebanon’s PM asks France to provide assistance in identifying victims of Air Algerie flight
Lebanon’s Prime Minister Tammam Salam telephoned on Saturday French President Francois Hollande and offered his condolences for the victims of the Air Algerie flight that crashed in the West African country of Mali earlier this week.

PM Salam asked France to provide assistance as to identifying the bodies of the Lebanese victims to be transported to their homeland.

For his part, Hollande voiced his country’s readiness to facilitate the transfer of Lebanese victims’ bodies, noting that the results of DNA tests will take a few days.

Also on Saturday, PM Salam telephoned Speaker Nabih Berri and discussed the latest developments regarding the air tragedy as well as efforts exerted by the Lebanese cabinet in this regard.
