The martyrs were identified as Lieutenant Colonel Dany Joseph Harb, Sergeant Yehia Ali al-Dirani, Soldier First Class Melhem Hamze, and Soldier Ahmad Ali al-Hajj Hassan.
Clashes erupted in Arsal on Saturday afternoon (August 02) when Syrian gunmen deployed across the region after the Lebanese Armed Forces arrested Syrian national Imad Ahmad Jomaa at a checkpoint.
The Lebanese Armed forces Command issued a statement on Monday afternoon, whereby it said that the number of army martyrs had risen to 14, while the number of injured reached 86, adding that 22 military personal remain missing.
