Kahwagi says LAF’s integrity must not be compromised

The Lebanese Armed Forces Chief General Jean Kahwagi stressed Thursday that the integrity of the military institution and its soldiers must not be compromised.

During his meeting with US congresswoman Lynn Westmoreland, who headed an accompanying delegation in the presence of the US ambassador to Lebanon David Hale, Kahwagi pointed out that the cases of the LAF martyrs, wounded and missing members will remain the priority of the military institution’s concerns.

Separately, the army chief received relatives of the martyr Lieutenant Colonel Dani Harb, who expressed their confidence in the procedures taken by the army command in order to achieve justice and eradicate all forms of terrorism in the country.

Kahwagi also received the British ambassador to Lebanon Tom Fletcher, where they discussed the latest developments and the bilateral relations between both countries.
