Nasrallah: Turkey and Qatar are supporting ISIL

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah noted on Thursday that some Lebanese factions are still backing armed groups in Syria with weapons and guidance, al-Akhbar newspaper reported

" Had we not fought in the regions of Qalamoun and Qusair, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) would have reached Beirut and the Lebanese coast," he added in the second installment of an interview set to be published on Friday by the local daily.

He also noted that Turkey and Qatar are supporting the ISIL, adding that he is convinced that "Saudi Arabia fears this group."

In the first segment of the interview, Nasrallah stressed that what "Hezbollah had prepared for Israel was not affected by its actions in Syria."

Nasrallah also noted that there are “no red lines” in the “security war” against Israel.

The full interview with al-Akhbar newpaper, will be published on Friday.
